Stacey Smith

Willow

4th Grade

“Ms. Smith is a team player who is always willing to assist and support teachers. She has a very good rapport with students and a phenomenal classroom management system in place.”

Stacey Smith began her career in education with the Cleveland Metropolitan School District in 2001 as a second grade teacher at Wade Park. Over the years, she has taught grades 1–8, opening her to a growth mindset as to what is expected at each grade level. She currently teaches fourth grade at Willow School, after she “looped” with her third graders the previous year. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in 1–8 education from Baldwin-Wallace University and received her Master’s Degree in Education from Ashland University in 2005. She also meets Ohio requirements to teach third grade reading and has served as a mentor for new teachers. Stacey brought the Girls On The Run program to Willow School in 2016. Stacey provides a classroom setting that allows her students to feel like family. She also builds rapport with parents to assist in educating their child. Stacey strives for a firm-but-fair type of learning environment where all students feel like they are her favorite. She inspires, motivates, and encourages everyone to be the best of the best. Stacey is married and has nine-year-old twins (one girl, one boy). In addition to teaching, Stacey is also a Girl Scout leader for her daughter’s troop. She enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with her family.
