Leslie Perry-Hanley is a 9th grade English teacher at the Cleveland School of Architecture and Design. She has been teaching in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District for 21 years, with 13 of those years in the elementary and middle grades and the last eight years in high school. Leslie received her Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education from Kent State University in 1998. She received her Master’s Degree in Special Education along with a Reading Endorsement from Notre Dame College in 2002. Leslie has been very active throughout her teaching career. She has served as a Union Conference Committee member, cheerleading coach, anti-bullying coordinator, mediation coordinator, building leadership team member, Resident Educator mentor, Academic Achievement Plan team member, and 9th grade team leader. Leslie believes that all students deserve and should be afforded the same opportunities when it comes to learning, and she strives to make sure that her students are given the same opportunities as their peers and counterparts across the State of Ohio.
