Replit Python Coding Resource
Replit, in my opinion, is the best programming resource for teachers to create a programming environment for students. Replit is a free, web-based programming website that allows teachers to create their own classroom and create coding assignments in different languages (python, java, c++, html, etc.). These coding assignments can have embedded instructions and lesson plans for students, making it very easy for students to program–with instructions right next to them. Replit has also created an environment that allows students to receive live feedback from teachers, work collaboratively in group projects, and submit/resubmit assignments at a press of a button. As a teacher, having these features readily available makes grading and creating lessons exponentially easier. When I was a new CS teacher, Replit was the first resource I found. I have curated multiple assignments and projects that work for my students and myself.
The topics covered in my Replit include:
- variables
- functions
- loops
- conditional statements
- lists
Feel free to visit my Replit and pull any projects and assignments that you find useful. This particular Replit is an “Intro to CS” course focused on python.
